Destination:MK CEO fulfils long-standing business ambition

THE CEO of Destination:MK fulfilled a long-standing business ambition when he spoke at the Concrete Cattlemen’s lunch at Galloways of Woburn this month.

Steven Gordon-Wilson gave a passionate speech to members and guests about Milton Keynes’ potential to increase tourism at the club’s meeting on November 15.

The businessman shared his insights with guests before tucking into a two-course lunch prepared by the talented chefs of Galloways.

Steven said: “I was thrilled to be invited to speak at the Concrete Cattlemen – it’s been at the top of my networking bucket list for a while!

“It’s always great to know that the MK community share my passion for the city and tourism in particular.

“The venue is gorgeous too!”

Hosted by the Woburn restaurant, monthly guests are invited to speak at the Concrete Cattlemen business lunch to share knowledge and experiences with the local leaders of businesses in and around Milton Keynes.

Former speakers include Lady Mary Archer, Dame Cleo Laine, Edwina Currie, Sir Ian McGeechan, Neil Back MBE, Sir Edward Tompkins, Budge Rogers OBE and last month MP of MK South, Iain Stewart.

Alastair Brooks, Co-founder and Chairman of the Concrete Cattlemens Club, said: “Our members include former speakers plus leading figures in the business world of Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.

“We are grateful to Galloways of Woburn, our current home, for looking after us with such attentive hospitality.”
Galloways of Woburn was recently taken over by new owners earlier this year and earlier this month launched a brand new lunch menu.

The restaurant serves a freshly prepared à la carte and other menus to suit your event with home-cooked food sourced from the finest local quality produce.
